Warm and inviting, casual fine dining at Café Provence is a truly memorable experience. Located in the restored historic section of downtown Brandon, Vermont—Chef Robert Barral, former Executive Chef of the New England Culinary Institute and The Four Seasons in Boston, crafts our seasonal menu to showcase not only his talents as a chef, but also highlight the best meats, cheeses, and vegetables that local farms have to offer. Our overall style is French Bistro with a decidedly Mediterranean influence. Working out of our open kitchen, our experienced chefs make sure that only the finest seafood, meats, fresh vegetables, fine breads and award winning desserts are served by our friendly, courteous and knowledgeable staff. We have a full service bar and an extensive wine list and encourage guests to ask about suggested pairings with their courses.

Just one block north on Route 7 is the Gourmet Provence Bakery. Here you’ll find incredible breakfast pastries, breads, fine desserts, cakes to order, specialty coffees, Vermont delicacies, and many hard to find gourmet cooking ingredients. The store also features a very well stocked wine room that is sure to please everyone.

The varied menus feature ultra-fresh ingredients gathered from local purveyors of meats, cheeses, fruits and vegetables produced right here in Vermont. Combining these together with French flair, Chef Robert creates flavorful fare ranging from freshly tossed salads to steaming hot soups, unforgettable hors-d’oeuvres , memorable main courses and melt-in-your-mouth desserts. We are happy to accommodate your specific food requirements and offer a gluten-free version of most menu items as well as vegan and vegetarian alternatives.
